Searston Beach

After a period of almost 2 years (life in a pandemic), our family finally made it back to my home community of Robinson’s, Newfoundland.  One of the must-do things on our list is visit Searston Beach, located in the beautiful Codroy Valley.

The beach is located in Codroy Valley Provincial Park, which is about 20 km from Port Aux Basques. It is part of Codroy Valley Provincial Park. 

The reason why this is our favourite beach, it has the great combination of ocean - sandy beach - few people - mountain view. Check out the photos below of one of Newfoundland’s best oceanside locations.

This is a one-lane bridge, possibly the only one in Newfoundland and Labrador. My heart rate always increases a few beats before getting on this partially wooden structure.

Searston Beach in 2019, with more seasonal July temperatures and the ocean at low tide. We relaxed here, watched the sunset, enjoyed the low winds, temperatures in the high teens, and not a person in sight.

The moon present over the Long Range Mountains. We enjoyed this view for some of our trip back to Robinson’s, it became even more beautiful as the moonlight illuminated parts of the mountains.
