Some people hate running, I love it. For 36 years of my life I had the mindset that I couldn't run, on my 37th birthday I decided to give a try. I huffed and puffed around Long Pond doing a walk-jog-run combo and nearly passed out, this was the start of the relationship. Over the last 20 months I have built my running distance up to 12 km and I plan on entering my first race this summer, the Tely 10.
This winter my running schedule took a major detour, in a span of 2 months I had multiple head colds, influenza, and a leg injury from shoveling snow, this resulted in zero runs from March 1 to May 1. Yesterday was my first run in two months, I was fatter, slower, and breathed heavier, but I loved it. Let the training days continue!!
